It's made of a mid-weight damask that's more comparable to a tablecloth or the outer of a necktie or tux vest than to your usual run-of-the-mill Halloween costume satin, which is what I was expecting for the price.Though this is not of the quality you would expect to see on Broadway, this is nonetheless a good quality costume.

Fortunately, The cut of the dress is very flattering and hides my tummy along with a multitude of other sins. It looks even better in person and once I added my hoop skirt it was even more beautiful. I will be getting it hemmed as I’m quite short but that’s pretty much what I have to do with most of my clothes. Honestly, it is well worth the cost and I will be ordering again in other colors. I’m so glad I took a chance and ordered this dress and I highly recommend it.
