Some people might be put off by the very shiny leather of these shoes. But they are comfortable, fit well and attractive overall, in my opinion. I got them to wear to a wedding and they were fine for that. The soles are thick and appear to be made for providing sure footing, as compared with a more smooth sole. The rounded design is helpful if you have wider feet like I do. All-in-all, a nice addition to the wardrobe.
